This is the date of the official launch of my brand, which also marks the start of this journey. This post on my Instagram goes into more detail about my current feelings and thoughts!
Now, I wanted to use this space to talk about some background mechanisms of the brand.
LIFETIME WARRANTY (info@macraestudios.com for more) on all products, whether made in the studio or overseas. While there are stipulations in place to prevent abuse of this system, my goal is to establish a process where your products can be repaired, resold, or repurposed. The ultimate objective is to extend the life of garments and minimise their disposal in landfills or thrift stores. You can find more information about my commitment to the environment here!
Made In Australia If it wasn't clear, I currently handle all aspects of production for the brand. This encompasses fabric sourcing, garment sampling, pattern making, photography, and sewing - everything! While I anticipate this arrangement will continue for some time due to various factors, the growth of the business and increasing demands may necessitate overseas or local manufacturing. I'm already in the process of identifying and working with suitable factories that align with my standards and requirements.
Slow Fashion Ethos
With many of your favourite brands creating a new collection every season, typically with dozens of separate garments, I want my brand to be built on a slow fashion ethos. The goal is to challenge the industries consumption and production of garments, and dedicate more time to creatively develop high quality products. You can read more about slow fashion brands here.
Pleated Baggy Shorts
Pre-orders open on the 30th of April and will last for a week! The production timeline is estimated to be around 2-4 weeks, but please note that this may be subject to change. I will delve deeper into the details and share more information in the upcoming weeks. Stay tuned to my social media platforms and this blog.

Reading Recommendations
Ikigai - This short book explores the Japanese concept of finding your purpose in life and joy through everyday life. It has lots of other little pieces of wisdom!
Master Key System - a book I seem to constantly pick up and reread. I will let this one speak for itself.
The Creative Act - similar to the above book in the sense I am constantly rereading this book. The layout allows you to read from any point and works as guide to several situations.
