Production Insight
They will be on sale for 1 week, or until stock sells out, with production to commence soon after! I will keep you guys updated throughout ever step of production, and plan to give you all a first-hand experience of garment manufacturing. Several videos and posts will be made, as well as frequent live streams where you can watch your garments be sewn. These will be on both my Instagram and TikTok accounts — more information to come soon.
Production is scheduled to take 4–6 weeks from whenever pre-order closes, with this figure depending on shipping times for the fabric. All other materials used are already in hand, meaning production is dependent on the main cotton drill fabric — again I will keep estimation dates updated!

Process of Making Baggy Pleated Shorts
Now, why do a pre-order when you have full control of manufacturing?
Firstly, it is impossible to scope and plan stock levels for a brand that was still merely a concept without a tangible product. Creating on a pre order basis means I can have enough stock levels for everyone (in this case, stock is limited due to buttons sourced).
As well as this, the brand is built on a slow fashion ethos, meaning waste, in the form of off cuts and unsold garments, will be minimised when possible. With this drop, and likely future drops, all fabric and textile waste is donated to a local textile recycling program. As well as this, Kraft paper mailers are used during shipping with no single use plastic present! I am truly proud to be able to eliminate potential waste, and create a product centred around sustainability!
The Future of the Pleated Shorts
Depending on the ‘success’ of this drop, I will likely do a restock of this product. This could be an opportunity to add new colours, sizes, and even new styles.
The question is, do I stay in-house, or venture out and find a manufacturer here and Australia?
There are many pros & cons with each avenue, regardless of the chosen direction, I promise to never go against what the brands built on and continue to source and produce well-thought-out, high quality and sustainable products for you guys.
Pre-Drop thoughts
The feeling of finally realising a product you have worked on for the past 7 months is surreal. This, accompanying the feeling of finally launching my brand, after two years, the emotions are indescribable.
I appreciate all the support so far, it is only the beginning for all of this! I cannot wait to show you all what I have been making, and I hope you stay for the journey! It is honestly amazing how much a pair of shorts can mean to someone, I just hope you guys will love them as much as I do, I will see you all soon.
